For the Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas, it is important to foster spaces in which our community can learn to understand global issues and phenomena, while also promoting international experiences within our own community through diversity and inclusion. By way of putting the students at the forefront of this process, we identified the need to create a strategy in pursuit of strengthening the role these spaces play in university life.
Corpista Ambassadors seek to consolidate the Corpas on a national and international level through student efforts. However, an Ambassador does more than simply represent the institution, also supporting the Department of Global Initiatives in order to distribute new internationalization opportunities with the entire community.
Tasks undertaken by our ambassadors include:
- Actively representing the Corpas at conferences and events, in addition to distributing information about said events.
- Supporting and participating events organized by the Department of Global Initiatives
- Providing support when external students and teaching staff are being hosted and shown the university
- Giving campus tours at events
- Strengthening networking with students from other universities
- Promoting the Department of Global Initiative’s programmes to other university students.
- Being an active participant in the Ambassador’s Chat
The main benefits of being a Corpista Ambassador are:
- Elevated levels of access to the Grants programme
- An active role in accompanying international students, thus allowing you to strengthen your intercultural skills, practice a foreign language, and get to know different people from across the globe.
- The chance to attend and participate in different spaces developed by the Department of Global Initiatives
- Prioritization of your application should you wish to participate in a mobility
- Economic support during said mobility
